  1.           MicroHelp Communications Library Demonstration Program

  3. MicroHelp's Communications Library provides the programmer with
  4. an easy-to-use interface to the Windows communications services.
  5. In addition, the product includes ready-to-run forms used for
  6. selecting communications parameters, dialing the phone and selecting
  7. files for transfers.
  8.  
  9. The demonstration consists of three files:
  10.  
  11.    READ   .ME   This file
  12.    NOVACOM.EXE  Demonstration program
  13.    VBCOMM .VBX  Dynamic Link Library (DLL) with supporting routines
  14.  
  15. In order to run this demonstration, you'll need the Visual Basic
  16. runtime DLL. The name of the file is VBRUN100.DLL. If you received a
  17. 1.2mb demo disk directly from MicroHelp, you'll find this file in
  18. the self extracting archive file VBRUN.EXE. Please see INSTALL.BAT
  19. for instructions on using this file.

  21. If you don't have this file, you can download it from the MSSYS
  22. forum on CompuServe (the file name is VBRUN.ZIP).

  24. The actual product contains several demonstration applications,
  25. each of which shows you how to use one or more features from the
  26. product. NOVACOM.EXE is the executable version of one of those
  27. programs.

  29. Please note that VBCOMM.VBX must be in your PATH when you execute
  30. NOVACOM.EXE. Therefore, after you install the demonstration program,
  31. you will need to do one of two things:
  32.  
  33. 1. COPY VBCOMM.VBX to a directory that is in your PATH, or
  34. 2. Adjust your PATH so that it includes the directory where you install
  35.    VBCOMM.VBX.
